The Cascading Reels are a major point of attraction for a game like this, being used to remove the symbols that already got you paid, and then to allow others to come in. An explosion is the way in which they manage this. Once no new wins form as a result of the cascades, the feature stops and a new round can begin.

Wilds will also be present inside, with the image of a Gold Coin being used for their symbol. Not a replacement for Horse or scatter symbols, but otherwise it can prove useful for regular combinations.

Theme & Design

There aren’t that many Horse Racing themed games available right now, and while Road to Riches: Race Day gives us a decent new option to play, it’s not going to look all that great. Barcrest doesn’t have a reputation for pretty graphics, and it shows here as well. They keep the same Irish themed graphics as in their Rainbow Riches series, so they appear to have re-used some of the assets.

For its lesser symbols, they use the usual collection of Royals. The higher value options will give us images of the game logo, shamrocks, harps, toadstools and horseshoes. Feature symbols include the Horse, the scatter and the Gold Coin Wild.
